The BIO-MAGNETICDAYS<\/strong> project is co-financed under the Regional Operational Program of the European Regional Development Fund Tuscany POR CREO 2014-2020<\/a> | Call for proposals 2 “Research and development projects of SMEs”.<\/p>\n \u201cCreating magnetic\u00a0roller for water applications, medical and rehabilitation use<\/em>\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Project developed in R.T.I. (temporary grouping of enterprises) in collaboration with:<\/p>\n The project\u00a0is the result of a partnership amongst companies from different trades (precision mechanics, aerospace and railway mechanics, electronics and medicine)\u00a0with the active collaboration of two important Italian Universities: University of Pisa – Faculty of Medicine and Department of Cardiology<\/em><\/strong> (where the research group led by Dr. Carlo Palombo and Dr. Sara Sbragi developed the incremental test protocols and performed the data collection for their subsequent scientific validation), and University of Verona – Department of Neuroscience, Biomedicine and Science of Exercise<\/em><\/strong> (where the entire rehabilitation part took place).<\/p>\n The MD system allows the accurate control\u00a0of pedaling (in order of 0.5 Newton) and\u00a0to monitor parameters such as Power (Watts) and RPM, and this allows evaluating the progress achieved over time and analyzing the physiological-metabolic adaptations of each person.<\/p>\n Each subject is given a unique, targeted and individually studied protocol to follow. This makes the categories of patients suffering from heart disease, diabetes, obesity or who have suffered a trauma, the kind of people who could benefit the most by exploiting the full potential offered by the system.<\/p>\n Two systems have been developed for the\u00a0BIO MD<\/em>\u00a0project: the\u00a0J-BIKE<\/strong>\u00a0for working in a dry environment, and the experimental\u00a0W-BIKE<\/strong> for specific protocols for training in water – exploiting anti-gravity, water resistance, hydrostatic pressure and constant temperature of the working environment.<\/p>\n Bio MagneticDays Project\u00a0is the result of experience and enthusiasm of many users and people who believe in a unique indoor cycling training system<\/a><\/strong> based on a scientific approach, and who understand that this approach can be expanded in areas other than sports.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" The BIO-MAGNETICDAYS project is co-financed under the Regional Operational Program of the European Regional Development Fund Tuscany POR CREO 2014-2020 | Call for proposals 2 “Research and development projects of SMEs”. \u201cCreating magnetic\u00a0roller for water applications, medical and rehabilitation use\u201d Project developed in R.T.I.
